How Does WhatsApp OTP Verify Work?

In addition to Verify's existing channels for OTP distribution, Verify WhatsApp assists your company in user verification by sending One-Time Passcodes (OTPs) via WhatsApp conversations. Because it has more than 2 billion users and only requires a WiFi connection, adding WhatsApp for OTP transmission can increase your overall conversion rate. It doesn't charge for non-delivery and is not vulnerable to fraud that abuses the telecom network, like toll fraud. Verified WhatsApp allows you to transmit OTPs right away without throttling or other restrictions that would make successful implementation challenging or impossible. This saves you the time and effort of starting from scratch yourself.

• A single business-initiated conversation includes all messages delivered to a single user (phone number) within a 24-hour window. Pricing of business-initiated conversations per country/region is listed on Meta’s USD rate card. Verify WhatsApp is considered a single “business” in this pricing model
• The "ITEL message rate" of $0.00 and "First 1000 free per month".
• In very rare cases, you may not be charged for a WhatsApp business-initiated conversation, because some other Verify WhatsApp customer already sent an OTP message and started a “conversation” with the same phone number within the last 24 hours.
